COMMON MINIMUM PROGRAMME
"PRIMARY SCHOOL SHOULD BE A MAGICAL EXPERIENCE, IT SHOULD AMAZE,INSPIRE AND THRILL."
CMP USED FOR DEVELOPING SUPPORT SYSTEM
1. CLASS DISPLAYS:-
(A) Competetions are held quaterly for the decoration of the display boards of each class and the class with best display boards are announced in the assembly.
(B) Class rooms are decorated with educational charts,projects,TLM produced by the teachers as well as students,art and craft work done by the students.
2.CLASS LIBRARIES:-
Classwise library is set up in each class with ample number of books and the children read them whenever they have arrangement periods during the lunch breaks. Books published by children's book trust have been ordered to add on to the books in the class library.
3.LANGUAGE SKILLS:-
Reading Cards are used extensively by the language teachers for developing the competencies in English like listening,reading,speaking,writing and spelling 5 sets of reading cards(level I-V) are kept in different boxes in the resource room to be utilized for the teachers.
4.UTILIZATION OF VVN FOR PRIMARY SECTIONS:-
Teachers utilize the advance taken by H.M.(Rs. 5000) for procuring or generating TLM(Worksheets,power point presentations,flash cards,models,puzzles,charts,field trips,celebrations etc.) extensively. The records being maintained in the resource room.
5. ACADEMIC CLIMATE IN PRIMARY SECTION:-
The syllabi and the text books developed on the basis of NCF are being utilized properly to develop competencies accordingly.The new text books are full of activities which enhance the children to learn things joyfully.The children are encouraged to reflect their own learning and to pursue imaginative activities and questions.
6.THE AVAILABILTY OF TEACHING/LEARNING AIDS AND THEIR UTILITY:-
(A) An ACTIVITY CUM RESOURCE ROOM has been set up with amny teaching aids such as maths kit,stamp kit,games ,alphabets,puzzles,maps,charts,reading cards etc.
(B) Lots of teaching learning materials are acquired and being utilized in the resource room.
(C) A seperate,well equipped AUDIO-VISUAL ROOM WITH ALMOST 20 computers,LCD PROJECTOR,2 computers with internet facility and 2 O.H.Ps is there to make the complex concepts simple.
(D) Many educational CDs of stories,cartoons,films,languages learning,maths etc are arranged subjectwise in different pouches so that teachers can use them extensively while teaching.
7. PUBLICATION OF NEWS LETTER:-
Quaterly Publication of NEWSLETTER with achivements of the students nad teachers and also events conducted is undertaken.
8. Project Work:-
Project based learing were taken up to help the teachers understand the various methodologies which the teacher can incorporate into her teaching and make it more effective. The students were given projects accordingly to enhance citical thinking,creativity, communication,team work,technology and self direction.
Class IV D prepared ALOO CHAT for lesson spicy riddles.
Class V B for the lesson "A SEED TELLS A FARMER'S STORY" prepared rotis made with various grains and were able to identify the various seeds.Extended projects were given for the whole year.
9.Field Trip:-
(A) Childrens were taken to the post offie ,shooping complex,hospital etc. for the first hand learning experience.
(B) All childrens were taken to a field trip to TIKUJINIWADI in THANE. They all enjoyed the food as well as the rides and the water park.
